The Château d’Agassac opens its restaurant

Château d’Agassac, a beautiful wine estate in Haut-Médoc, turns to gastronomy. Since the month of June, “La Table d’Agassac” seats around a hundred guests in two rooms of the Château, whose construction began in the 13th century, and on the terrace with a view over the park. The property thus reinforces its excellence strategy and the development of its wine tourism offer. As far as the restaurant’s positioning strategy is concerned, it aims to attract tourists who visit the estate. Indeed, at noon, the menu prices range between 17 and 25 euros.

In an effort to build a strong gastronomic identity aroud wine, the restaurant is run by Neapolitan Giovanni Curcio, a famous international sommelier who served at the prestigious restaurant of Anne-Sophie Pic, “La Dame de Pic”. As regards the head chef Jacopo Bracchi, he served at Michelin 2-starred restaurant “Il Pagliaccio” and at “L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon”. Together, their job is to propose a card with wine and food pairing suggestions on a daily basis. The range of Agassac wines are presented alongside other french and foreign wines. Serving wine by the glass means that customers will get to discover a maximum of flavors. This is what Giovanni Curcio aims to achieve.
